Since then, enrollment has increased as well as student successes. My research interests have included music therapy/speech therapy co-treatment and music/math integration for early childhood. Innovative Program Development:
Fall 2007 Title of Program: Working with Children in Spain
Dr. Eugene Geist, Associate Professor in Early Childhood, Ohio University and I were invited to visit Valladolid, Spain and visit educational facilities in order to develop a study abroad program for early childhood and music therapy students. As a result, we have now an approved Summer
2008 program. The program development involved creating the courses for this project as well providing supporting evidence of the effectiveness of such a program, not only for Early Childhood and Music Therapy but for any student wanting to work with children. http://www.finearts.ohio.edu/education-abroad/index.htm
