The children will cut some images of food items from leaflets or brochures; they can also draw them. Each child will show the rest of the group the food items he/she has cut up and will say their names and the moments of the day in which he/she usually eats them; he/she will also explain how these food items are cooked at his/her home as well. With all the pictures from every child the teacher will make a book: the book of the food items. Using the food items that appear in the book the teacher will elaborate a menu for each one of the three important meals of the day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menus have to be adequate for the age of the children. Using the menus the teacher has prepared as a guide, the children will elaborate some others for the different meals of the day. |
